How is everyone’s fantasy?
BOOOYAHHH! Finally got a win in fantasy!!!!!! Sweetness. Also, my Sooners rolled over TU and really put them in their place! LOL, it was great reading the Tulsa world the next day and seeing all the comments about how TU put up a very good fight and had a lot to be proud of! LOL, i guess they don’t understand that the game continues after the 1st quarter. Thats right, i’m smack talking. And my ‘Boys are 3-0 and look AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Could be a big year in football for the Cummings’ And did i mention that Halo 3 comes out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable times.
Comment by jtuffy — September 24, 2007 @ 9:57 am
Did you forget to mention that its your big 2-8. That’s right, happy birthday Mr. Cummings. Did you ever think you would see this day?
Any plans? Are you waiting in line for halo 3 and then taking the day off work? Any plans for dinnner and a movie? big gifts lined up?
anyways, happy birthday.
p.s. did you like how i conveniently failed to bring up the tu v. ou game? it was a shame. ou is just too powerful. they look good. don’t go getting cocky because lsu looks pretty good too, but ou looks like they should do well. that’s as much praise you’ll ever get from me on the subject.
Comment by The Scam — September 24, 2007 @ 12:42 pm
Thank you Mr. Scam. And you hit it right on the head. I’ll be standing in line tonight and taking the day off tomorrow! Will be AWESOME!!!
Comment by jtuffy — September 24, 2007 @ 12:49 pm
And those were pretty good words of praise! OU is a monster this year; however, on any given day, it’s anybodys game.
Comment by jtuffy — September 24, 2007 @ 12:49 pm
man, this fantasy thing is killing me. how did i lose to DOMS? honestly, he doesn’t even know what a football looks like. the computer does his picking and now i’m stuck losing to his team. i need a freaking new running back and my defense got destroyed. man, my fantasy life is crappy.
on a lighter note, the dolphins really suck this year. but i’m excited to see brett favre doing so well. man, that guy is a class act.
Comment by The Scam — September 24, 2007 @ 12:50 pm
Pretty sad that Favre didn’t even start in the fantasy league!
Anyone else make some blunders with their lineup this week? I sure did… it’s a shame Stephen had an illegal roster!
So, Happy Birthday Jonny! Wish I could play some halo3 with ya tonight in celebration… but alas. My kingdom for a 360! Anyway… have fun throwin’ down some hot karls and teabagin’ those noobs!
Comment by Seth — September 24, 2007 @ 3:44 pm
Thanks, you’d better believe it! Course, i’ll be a noob with the other millions out there.
Comment by jtuffy — September 24, 2007 @ 3:46 pm
please, with your natural skills, tuffy will never be a noob
Comment by The Scam — September 24, 2007 @ 4:28 pm
Scam, I may not know what a football looks like, but I sure know what a footvagina looks like! (It’s right between your big toe and middle toe) Okay, that was too much. But how else am I going to make you guys feel better about losing to me all the time?
Tonight… is going to be…
Comment by DOMS 287 — September 24, 2007 @ 4:40 pm
crazy
Comment by DOMS 287 — September 24, 2007 @ 4:40 pm
So… How’s Halo?
Comment by Seth — September 25, 2007 @ 10:42 am
Sorry for the lack of response, seth. All the halo-bloggers are either at home immersed in the game (tuffy) or at school working hard (me). The game is sweet. There is no equal. It has features only high school dropouts have the time to learn and fully exploit.
Comment by DOMS 287 — September 25, 2007 @ 3:31 pm
You better drop out than Doms… so you can elivate your halo skills.
Comment by Seth — September 25, 2007 @ 3:39 pm
this is to settle the discussion from a long time ago. here’s a review of halo 3 and the dude says
“Levels, while linear in general, are now broader with multiple attack approaches. Fed by the Xbox 360’s ability to display more objects in finer detail, canopied rivers and ridges become crisscrossing webs of sniper fire as Covenant Jackals perch in enormous trees or snuggle into distant cliffside cubbyholes that are tough to spot but easy to be hit from. You’re forced to probe more tactfully if you play the game at its intended (”heroic”) difficulty setting.”
so, its settled. the game is meant to be played on heroic.
Comment by The Scam — September 25, 2007 @ 4:36 pm
exactly scam, i started it on heroic! The game is down right sweet! Superb balanced gameplay, the replay feature is off the hook, the campaign is amazing, and the story is the best part. Definitely worth a vacation day!
Comment by jtuffy — September 25, 2007 @ 6:02 pm
Yep, the game was meant to be played so you can easily beat it in three days or less. It is also meant to be played in a way that you can dodge sniper shots more easily, and then survive the ones that do hit you. Yep, indeed; just like when you play matchmaking on live. Oh wait… that’s not the way it is online in matchmaking. Oh gee wiz, turns out you get sniped by these 10 year olds and you can’t survive two shots - most of the time dying from the first shot being a head shot. Golly, I wonder why the makers made the game easy, and matchmaking difficult??? I guess we should ask the unknown “expert” reviewer that scam posted… HE must know why the makers made such a HUGE mistake by making the matchmaking much more like the Legendary setting, instead of the obviously INTENDED setting of heroic… So keep feeling good about yourselves when you breeze through the heroic setting, but get dominated in matchmaking, guys. Oh by the way - tuffy, did you ever beat halo 2 on legendary like I did numerous times??? Don’t worry. That setting is just silly. I think it was a glitch. No one was really meant to play that masterful, I mean ridiculous setting anyways.
Comment by DOMS 287 — September 25, 2007 @ 10:39 pm
“Oh by the way - tuffy, did you ever beat halo 2 on legendary like I did numerous times???” Congratulations… your a looser, lol. I’m gonna go play some WoW now. But, I wish I was playin’ Halo with you suckers! Instead of gankin’ noobs… I could be getting ganked…
So Scam… did you get Halo3?
Comment by Seth — September 25, 2007 @ 11:45 pm
Yes i did beat Halo 2 on legendary and I will beat Halo 3 on it too, but i like to play the game like Master Chief, not like a little scared school girl who hides out and sneaks around corners! Like i always say, if you want to do that, go play Splinter Cell. And who has more kills in matchmaking??? That’s what i thought! Booyah!
Comment by jtuffy — September 26, 2007 @ 8:17 am
no, and it probably won’t be for a while. since i haven’t beat crackdown yet, i haven’t been able to move on to halo 2. i can’t very well get halo 3 if i haven’t even beat halo 2. there must be order in this universe.
DOMS, maybe the matchmaking isn’t the way the “game” was meant to be played, but is an option that the makers have given people that want a different experience than how the game was meant to be played. most games now have disclaimers at the beginning that read “online gaming experience may differ from regular play” or something to that effect. is this where i say “booyah”!!?
Comment by The Scam — September 26, 2007 @ 11:58 am
LOL, good call scam. Way to incorporate the legal mumbo jumbo in there!
Comment by jtuffy — September 26, 2007 @ 12:05 pm
so, tuffy and DOMS, i’ve heard that some drawbacks might be that it is too close to the other halos and that there is no real innovations and sort of a let down in the story line. thoughts?
should the game really have to expand beyond what it has created? is it sort of a if it’s not broke, don’t fix it sort of situation?
Comment by The Scam — September 26, 2007 @ 2:00 pm
exactly! The game isn’t called “space aliens from the planet xiemba” It’s called Halo 3, therefore it should be like…………………. wait for it…………………………….. HALO! LOL. Reviews are stupid! If you like it, then you like it, if you don’t then you don’t! I love it, thats my opinion and i’m sticking to it.
Comment by jtuffy — September 26, 2007 @ 2:39 pm
so did you beat it already?
i can’t remember the last time i voluntarily stayed up all night.
sloth, i’ve decided that insomnia is most productive thing that has ever entered my life. i get so much done in the wee hours of the morning.
Comment by The Scam — September 26, 2007 @ 3:21 pm
I rarely get much done in the wee hours. I’m usualy so fried from being up too long that I’m not capable of much. But I’m glad you are getting stuff done.
Comment by Seth — September 26, 2007 @ 4:07 pm
i think it helps that all the good programming goes off the air at about 4 and the food network doesn’t come back on until 8:30. a man can only watch so many reruns of sportscenter.
Comment by The Scam — September 26, 2007 @ 4:39 pm
Not a real man… at least, so I hear.
We watch the food network alot. I learned how to make holandaise and ganache. I’m pretty excited. And Iron Chef rocks. Not on food network but Top Chef is great too… ever seen it Scam?
Comment by Seth — September 26, 2007 @ 7:28 pm
Sweeeeeet Bessssy. How has everybody been. Its been ages since i’ve been on here. I’m glad I got on tonight though. Otherwise I would have never known what a footvagina is. Won’t be hard to work that into my vocabulary. I played halo 3 for about 13 minutes this morning. Both games I was in were on the same map i played 100 times in the demo. Not that exciting. I am sure future gaming will be better. Scam you should get halo 3. But don’t get it unless you break outa the 90’s and in to the internet age. Seth i got a proposition for you. Come hang out with me for a week and i’ll buy you an xbox and halo 3. We’ll have pancakes for breakfast, happy sumo for lunch, grill up some steaks for dinner, and play halo all night. And so as to not get bored we’ll put in about 8 hours a day of work. Sounds like a good time doesn’t it. And just imagine you’ll get a free xbox just for coming and hanging out. Thats what we call a “win win” in the biz.
So you think that over. You could do what we call in the biz a “win win win”. that would be come “hang out” next week. you get all the goodness i talked about earlier, you a free ride down to O town with me, and your outa town while the inlaws are in town visiting. that must be tempting.
anywho.
one last thing both me and my other team the alycats are undefeated in the league. the alycats have been blowing out their competition. I can all but gauruntee wins this week too.
Hector out!!!!!
Comment by Hector Rodriguez — September 26, 2007 @ 11:54 pm
one more thing.
the office premiers tomorrow night. Make sure to watch. It will be undeniably unbelievably funny.
Comment by Hector Rodriguez — September 27, 2007 @ 12:12 am
That is a sweet deal spence, does it apply to me too? I could use another 360 since Halo 3 is going to wear out my current xbox.
Comment by jtuffy — September 27, 2007 @ 9:15 am
for shizzle. come on out. you probably got the skills to earn an xbox and an iphone in a week.
Comment by john wayne — September 27, 2007 @ 11:48 am
LOL Too funny!
I finished the fight last night! It was absolutely amazing. I know this sounds super-lame but i was sad to see the game go. It was such an epic. It was like Star Wars and Lord of the rings, you just don’t want it to end (well lord of the rings was kinda long). But it was like william wallace dying, so sad! What a game, Master Chief, how I will miss you!!!!!…………….. Oh…. there is always years of multiplayer ahead! BOOOOOYAAAAH
Comment by jtuffy — September 27, 2007 @ 11:58 am
master chief doesn’t have to sacrifice himself at the end does he? its not that sort of an ending is it?
i have to say that the ending sequence of halo 1 is pretty tough to beat. you know, the wild and crazy blaze on the way out of dodge in the warthog. how does this compare?
spence, i’ve already used footgina in two of my law classes. it didn’t go well, but that doesn’t mean we should stop trying force it on society. of all the DOMS-isms, that one could be the most crude.
sloth, top chef is the coolest show going right now. that and ramsey’s kitchen nightmares. but kressyda doesn’t let me watch that one if she’s around because they don’t edit everything out on the BBC. just the f-word. anything else goes.
i’ve got to make some ganache. i hear hollandaise can be tough. do you use clarified butter or do you just incorporate it in small batches? i hear there are different methods. i’m in to baking these days. i’ve done some swiss breads and other yeast stuff, but mostly quick breads. i’m trying to expand my repatoire (spelling?).
Comment by The Scam — September 27, 2007 @ 2:32 pm
sloth, i’m over my minutes so i’ll do some calling this weekend. sorry.
Comment by The Scam — September 28, 2007 @ 1:11 pm
calling other people no doubt, we are only good for the free weekend minutes!
Comment by jtuffy — September 28, 2007 @ 9:29 pm
please, my phone life consists of calling kressyda and your mom.
speaking of your mom, i haven’t seen her lately. is she still living with the grandfolks here in jenks?
Comment by The Scam — September 29, 2007 @ 8:52 am
what? no one wants on today. no one is willing to rag on tuffy for the loss of his OU boys. i will mourn with you, tuffy. i am will to mourn with those that mourn.
Comment by The Scam — October 1, 2007 @ 3:39 pm
And so goes the life of College Football, You live and die by one game. That is exactly why you need a play-off system! OU just imploded in the 4th quarter! They deserved to lose the way they played that game. It was very upsetting. But i rocked the world in Fantasy league and my Cowboys are looking legit this year (last time i said that about my sooners they lost so we’ll see). It is really funny when people don’t update their rosters i.e. DOMS! LOL
Comment by jtuffy — October 1, 2007 @ 3:54 pm
those bye weeks can be killer on fantasy. nice to see the DOMS go down. we’ll see if i can hold out against suspence. it all comes down to our wide receivers on monday night football.
don’t sweat the sooners. they’ll bounce back. join the golden hurricane bandwagon.
Comment by The Scam — October 1, 2007 @ 5:09 pm
Yea… sad to see people not updating their roster’s. The Joshters had Favre sittin the bench for the second week in a row. Almost makes me cringe.
So, anyone have predictions about the Cincinatti New England game tonight? Should be a great game! But, good enough for me to take down Spence’ other team? (The Alycats)
Comment by Seth — October 1, 2007 @ 5:51 pm
Im going to stay closer to the trunk and say that New England is going to win
Comment by jtuffy — October 1, 2007 @ 7:52 pm
Come on, can anyone have more injured players? What in the world!
Comment by DOMS 287 — October 1, 2007 @ 8:51 pm
Tuffy, did you check out my latest video clip I sent you? Be sure and watch it as I recorded it. I worked hard on the camera work. Then go back and check it out at different angles and speeds. It’s hilarious. Also, you should check out my original ejection vid. Only this time view it from mailman’s perspective. It’ll shock you (and him for that matter). Come on seth, I know what you’re thinking and it’s gross.
Comment by DOMS 287 — October 1, 2007 @ 8:56 pm
LOL, Doms got owned in Fantasy! LOL I’ll have to check out the vids, i didn’t log in yesterday.
