All right, a new week, lets focus on the positves and get posting! The weekend was pretty uneventful here, Some sweet, sweet Halo 3 multiplayer times with Spence and Doms on Friday. Then we went to the Amish country on Saturday and took a horse buggy ride to a real farm. The people don’t really talk much and they don’t like to be photographed but it was a neat experience and we had some sho-fly-pie! I picked up a couple of books over the weekend; “The Secret” (which i posted on the bookclub page. I also picked up “In Harm’s Way” Awesome Awesome book, haven’t been able to put it down! It is a history book (weird that i find this facinating) about the sinking of the indianapolis in WWII and how 900 men went into the water and only around 317 came out. War stories are just crazy to me. I would definitely recommend this book to the readers out there (Seth and Cameron : )

Yea… that sounds like an interesting book. Such a tragic event in WWII. I’ll have to check it out. Did you ever take a look at Sergeant Nibbley pHd? I think you would really enjoy it. The stories he tells and others that I have heard about the market garden campain in WWII reminded me alot of the Pres. Kimbal lesson about fortifying ourselves against temptation (which was a great lesson.)

Hey Jenny and Jon! That’s so cool you guys went to an Amish country. There’s so much to do where you live! The highlight of our weekend was a trip down to IF to go to Target. Anyway, what is in sho-fly-pie? Was it good? I would like to hear more about their culture. See ya!

So, is the “secret” worth the investment or can someone mail me their copy. i went to the book store and it was like 30 bones. give me a week to scrape up the cash and i’ll get it.
didn’t they talk about the indianapolis in Jaws. i think the captain tells a story about he was on the ship and the sharks ate a bunch of the dudes. you’re right, i love war books. we should read band of brothers or something as well.
jon, have you ever read “seeing with an eye of faith”. i asked suspence if he had but he never said anything. the premise of the secret seems to be exactly what that book is about but it is a church book. my zone read it together on the mission. i haven’t read the secret yet, but i think it would be interesting to compare the concepts taught in the secret to those found in the gospel.
so are we done with SH5 or can we still discuss?
today was my first day at conocophillips. i’m going to see if the trainer refinery needs to be inspected so i can check out the city of brotherly love. jon, you can look me up on e-stream. i was checking you out on the org charts today.

SH-5 is still open for discussion. And yes… the Indianapolis incident was talk about in Jaws. That was one of the first times alot of people had heard about it. It was classified for quite some time after the war from what I had heard. Very interesting.
After reading Sergeant Nibbley, I really want to read band of brothers. Nibbley knew and mentions some of the people in that book. He was an inteligence officer for the screeming eagles (the only OB to last from invasion until the bulge… he has some crazy stories.) I would also like to read A Bridge to Far if any of you are interested.
Hope the internship is going well Scam. Everytime I think of it… I think of the song, The Suits are Picking up the Bill by the SquirelNutZippers.

Yep, Scam is a suit! How funny is that! Well, who the heck knows where Spence and Doms ran off too. And i think we need to get Carrie’s face on a milk cartoon somehow.

Hey, who messed with the font size??

I’m no suit today. I’m sporting the jeans in defiance of tyranny.
I’d read “a bridge too far”. Should we make a list so we don’t forget about the ones we want to read.

Snowing, are you outside of your mind! That is nuts! It’s a sign of the times ahead
And here, everyday is jeans day! BOOYAH!

Oh yea… I’m in my P.J.s so eat it buddy! lol… wait, that’s just pathetic.
I would agree about the signs of the times… but sadly, a good may snow isn’t that unusual. I have even seen a few July flurries! Crazy stuff… but aren’t jackets in July better than what the poor Okies are in for?

dude, that whole global warming thing is a crock anyway. i say if it snows in may i get to wear that sweater that makes me look awesome. see, there’s always a plus side.
that’s right jonny boy, jeans… a direct smack in the face of the suit. no suit will control me.
i do have my shirt tucked in, which makes me feel like a moron.
