Seriously… where is everyone this week? Michael really killed the conversation last week, lol.

Orson Scott Card did a seminar at BYU-Idaho yesterday. It was pretty cool. Got the update on the Ender’s Game movie and the next few books he is writing. I’m pretty excited about the next few in the Enders series. Jon and Scam… have either of you read “Ender’s Shadow” or any of the other books in the Shadow series? They have been excelent… He also said “Twilight” was the best novel writen in his lifetime… I think I’m gonna have to check it out. Have you guys heard about this book?

He is also publishing a magazine with science fiction and fantasy short stories. Each issue also has a new short story about Ender. We should all get a subscription and use them for our book club… I think each issue is like $2 so it’s not too bad.

I haven’t read Ender’s Shadow, i definitely need to. I don’t know if the movie will do the book any justice, character selection will be the most important key!

I know, i know, no one blogs anymore! Its ridiculous!

Good luck…

Have you guys played Call of Duty 4 yet? I heard it was amazing.

Enders Shadow is great Jon. I have really enjoyed the entire series. As for the movie… Ol’ Orson is doing everything in his power to control the production. Right now the studio that owns the rights is selling them (the rights) and all the script adaptation. Card is trying to buy them and would idealy like to make the movie independatly. He figures he can get it made with a budget of 75 million. And, your right… the casting will be really important but he feels it’s the choice of director that will be key. You have to find a director that will actualy spend time with the kids… teaching them what to do, since most of them will be compleatly unexperianced. I hope he gets it done.

Call of Duty 4 is pretty sweet, too bad it came out around the same time as halo.

I wish i brought my xbox with me to Oklahoma, i don’t know what i’m going to do during the week.

That is true, i hadn’t thought about the inexperienced kids, that could be a good thing, just as long as they don’t get dakota fanny pants! LOL

Oh… he also said that most of the kids will be chinees or indian.

Comment by Seth — November 16, 2007 @ 5:17 pm

Chinese or Indian? Why in the world?

Comment by jtuffy — November 16, 2007 @ 6:30 pm

seriously? I bet you can figure it out.

Comment by Seth — November 16, 2007 @ 8:16 pm

Don’t even say that because they are really smart! That would be ridiculous!

Ya, come on guys pick up the blogging.

Jon, you should go still Camerons Xbox for the week. obviously he isn’t using it in a productive way. IE: xbox live. anyways I am sure he wouldn’t even notice it was gone. Guess Kresyda is probably the one you would have to fight for it. I am sure she controls it the same as she controls Cameron. Ouch!!!!

And yes, lets all watch John Beck over throw the long ball everytime. sure he will complete lots of 5 yard passes, because he is scared to throw the long ball, because he can’t complete them.

YO YO MA OUT!!!
