Yea… it looks lke the blog is dieing off. Think it will survive?

Yes tuffy, you certainly gave some good insights.

Are you guys as disgusted with the new kind of national news as I am? I’m talking about the kinds that get a few people together that try to be entertaining while giving the news. It’s that crap that’s on first thing in the morning. I think they’re all doing it now. For instance, this morning (I wasn’t paying attention to the channel — MSNBC?) they have two losers that sit casually and argue back and forth blindly about the news. Then they transfer you to a more professional news anchor. As she begins telling the news very professionally from across the nation from the two original losers you hear some voice come in saying, “wait, wait, wait, sorry to interrupt, but …” So then they all start arguing about how many people really care about the first part of the news she just gave, all while the “professional news anchor” slouches and acts casual while sipping on coffee through a straw! I doubt I painted the best picture, but if you’ve seen this crap then you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s a major joke! I can just see the producers behind this scheme trying to spice things up. It’s ridiculous! Any thoughts?

Just looked at your page, Jon… what did you think of Spiderman 3? I haven’t seen it yet… think I’m waiting for the cheap theater. I did see the new fantastic four. It was really good, much better than I expected.

Comment by Seth — June 21, 2007 @ 12:17 pm

Well, we’ll see if we can revive the blog.

Doms - i don’t think anyone has any idea about what you are talking about since we are all working in the morning! LOL, you should try it, then you won’t have to put up with crappy news anchors. JK

I thought spiderman 3 was just ok, i’m really not a toby or that other girls name, fan. Actually can’t stand that girl

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 12:21 pm

so, how is the house building coming along, what are you doing now?

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 12:28 pm

I’m not too excited to see Spidey 3. The same as I’m not excited to see Pirates of the Caribicha. I’d rather see spidey, but not much more. Tuffy, was The Guardian any good?

Comment by DOMS 287 — June 21, 2007 @ 12:29 pm

The guardian was ok, … hey didn’t we watch that with you guys????

I want to see Pirate of the bicha!

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 12:57 pm

Yes, we did watch it together! That was a test my friend!!

Comment by DOMS 287 — June 21, 2007 @ 12:58 pm

the guardian was an outright blatant manipulation of my emotions. or i should say an attempt at manipulating my emotions. they pulled out every trick in the book to get me involved with the characters but it just didn’t work. i appreciate the attempt but it was a watered down/wanna-be top gun.

oh, and the illusionist that was mentioned the other day was a pretty crappy movie too. tuffy, the one you and i saw was the “prestige” which was awesome. after seeing the prestige and then watching the illusionist, you basically want to puke. it was contrived and derivative and failed to develope any sort of real presence and then they expect you to just fall for it all with the ending even though there was no setting up for the twist. lame. the prestige was cool.

that’s my two cents.

about the news - all i know is that msnbc used to have this really hot anchor in the mornings like 3 years ago. i would get up to watch the news like every morning. now i just listen to talk radio (which is also pretty crappy and over the top).

tuffy, how can you favorite color be “white”? isn’t that more of a lack of color (unless you want to get technical, then it would be all colors, wouldn’t it?)

Comment by The Scam — June 21, 2007 @ 2:58 pm

i don’t plan on seeing any movies this summer. trying to get a sitter and then shelling out the cash just doesn’t seem worth it. i’d rather read a book.

Comment by The Scam — June 21, 2007 @ 3:43 pm

Scam, you’re crazy. The Illusionist was good! It wasn’t the best in the world, I’ll give you that, but it was unpredictable and interesting. You’re a hard one to please, I guess. I’d better see this magnificent Prestige you’re rantin and ravin about.

Comment by DOMS 287 — June 21, 2007 @ 3:51 pm

Yep, the prestige was pretty sweet! One of the better movies i’ve seen in a long time, i’m telling you, mr newsie is pretty good

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 3:54 pm

dude, i love the guy from newsies - christian bale. he was killer in batman.

i think i am getting harder to please with movies. they just seem to be putting out some crappy stuff lately that hollywood just expects us to eat up. i want some actual thought put into my movies. not just the usual tricks.

Comment by The Scam — June 21, 2007 @ 4:09 pm

i don’t care about thought, i just want to be entertained.

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 4:23 pm

yea, but how can you be entertained with the crap they keep producing. i like a good comedy, drama, action, what have you - but i at least want it to be good.

my biggest pet peave right now is how the trailer shows the movie as a romantic comedy and it ends up being a drama. basically, how they set you up to think the movie is something completely different from what it really is. i hate that. case in point: the family stone, elizabeth town, in the land of women, etc.

i think themoviespoiler.com is my new favorite site. thanks.

Comment by The Scam — June 21, 2007 @ 4:51 pm

I’m telling you that site is awesome!!!! And it sounds like you are watching to many girly movies scam

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 5:24 pm

that’s what happens when kressyda gets to choose. she’s not typically down for the action blow outs.

dude, that site is basically like watching the movie. all the R movies i thought i would never get to see are now available for my reading pleasure.

Comment by The Scam — June 21, 2007 @ 5:49 pm

exactly, that is how i check out all the ones i want to find out about, its awesome, found it a few months back and now i never say “Dang, i’ll never get to see that movie”

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 5:50 pm

Yep, that’s also how tuffy ruined Saw III for me!!

Comment by DOMS 287 — June 21, 2007 @ 7:26 pm

puleez, i didn’t tell you a peep, we discussed after you had seen it

Comment by jtuffy — June 21, 2007 @ 7:34 pm

Nope. I had just seen Saw II. I told you that I wanted to see III but I was disappointed that the main character was killed and the woman would be in his place. You nice and casually said, “Well, he doesn’t die.” That was supposed to pump me for #III (which it did, but come on)!

Comment by DOMS 287 — June 21, 2007 @ 7:54 pm

oh, well maybe that is how it went down, but it wasn’t ruined for you.
