i think all the hype is going to romo’s head. he needed a little humbling. at least he didn’t break the NFL record for interceptions in a game. i think that one is held by ty detmer.

i think i’m going to tank it this week on Fantasy Football. its not looking good.

No… it is not looking good for the Pugs. I should run Anderson instead of Palmer. That would be insulting except Anderson has actualy been outscoring Palmer on a regular basis… but I still have trouble banking on him.

The Blog brings true happiness huh? For this paper I’m writing I have been studying some psychoanalysis. Freud says that jokes are one of the best ways to interpret the unconscious. Very interesting…

But seriously Cam… have you ever heard of Jacques Lacan? He was a psychoanalist who was very influencial in psychoanalytical literary theory. He used philosophy, structuralism, and linguistics to expand on Freuds work… just wondering if you learned anything about him in school.

The problem is that I’m not doing “school work” while at school. I am in one lab or another all the time now. Sometimes I have to arrive at the lab by 5:45 AM at the latest (it’s a 30 minute drive just to get there!). Then I work in the lab until time for class or yet another lab. I’d like to think it is going to slow down soon, but it is actually only going to get worse!

You know what’s fun? Teaching a class, telling the students exactly what to study for their quiz the following week, then shelling out grades on the quiz as low as in the 20s, THEN ARGUING WITH THE STUDENTS ABOUT WHY I TAKE OFF SO MANY POINTS WHEN THEY MISS SOMETHING (keep in mind, the quizzes are worth 100 points, and there my be only 10 questions/problems. That alone tells you why they lose so many points when they miss one thing). Funny stuff, huh.

So… Carson Pallmer is a hack! Everyweek I see these messages that he is a, “must start!” and the top quarterback… but everyweek my secondary smokes him. My secondary could have beat the Pugs singlehandedly! Anyway… ticks me off.

dude, i freaking hate kurt warner. what a loser. he gets his one shot and blows it.

i haven’t heard of lacan. i’ll have to check into his stuff. i’m reading john austin these days. he’s pretty hardcore. one of those that was way ahead of his time. he’s a positive law theorist and was really influenced by jeremy bentham and was like next door neighbors to john stuart mill. tuffy should recognize those boys from his economics days.

DOMS, are you sure you’re not just really really hard on the athletes and then you give the hot chicks in your class good grades if they come study in your office? sounds like that might be the basis of your grading philosophy.

Giants have a solid team???? Where have i been? You do realize they have E. Manning for a QB and not P. Manning?? We’ll my boys went down big time yesterday, the defense couldn’t do one thing to stop Brady! It was embarrasing.

It is almost a “money in the bank” that Doms would give hot chicks better grades!

i know, without my colts i’m basically screwed.

i would seriously love to see DOMS in the classroom. i wonder if the ladies swoon and all the dudes get jealous of his pecs. are you really technical in class, DOMS, or do you dumb it down for the rookies?

i thought romo held things together, tuffy. the offensive did alright but the D just let everything through. although, c’mon, the pats are impressive. it might be tough for anybody to beat them.

Man… this paper is killing me. I feel like these psychological theories punched me in the brain. And the hardest part is trying to get all the info into 5 pages. Too much of it doesn’t make sence without explanation. Who would’ve thought I would want to write a longer paper?

And yea the giants are solid, at least in fantasy. Their running game has been laying down really consistent points and their passing game hasn’t been bad in the point department either. And now it looks like their defense is really cookin’. All in all, great secondary guys for sure.

i always find it much more difficult to try and write a coherent paper with a small page limit. 5 pages just isn’t enough these days. i’ve got way too much to say.

You know what I do; say when we are stimulating frog muscles at varying frequencies and amplitude? I tell them to ask themselves, what do the results of the frog study tell me about my own life? Then I quiz them on it.

how do you grade answers like that? its more of a philosophy question than science.

Tuffy, I’ll have to check it out when I get the chance. Right now is very bad. I’m making quizzes and studying for a neurobiology midterm. I’m swamped and won’t be playing this weekend. It’s a sacrifice I must make for the good of my future.

How many people do you guys think actualy check their fantasy football teams? I have had alot of fun with it.

So… you guys going competitive with your Halo team? Gonna be pro-gamers? Wouldn’t that be the best? Good luck… I have gone to a couple of magic tournaments and when you start to get into serious competition it gets pretty crazy!

I check my fantasy teams almost everyday, I think it is hilarious. Next year we will have to do a league with people that are actually involved.

i check mine almost everyday. i think it sucks when the team that gets stacked can destroy me without anyone tending it. freaking tom brady. putting up 50 points by himself. what a crock. now i have a better understanding of how this whole thing works. next year, baby. next year.

what a bunch of babies. I picked the players for the alycats the same as any other team was picked. Its not my fault non of you were smart enough to pick brady on your team. I manage the team the same as I do the winners. there has been no funny business with trades ect….. You guys are just sore losers. don’t be mad because you have crappy teams. There will be no disbanding of the alycats. I control the majority vote in this league. Who isn’t on my side could be baught. ie: seth.

Ok, i thought of a sweet deal for everybody. the other day i was thinking of ways to motivate myself to lose weight and get in shape. I had a great idea. It requires you guys to all make a commitment also. so here it is. I am currently at 250 pounds. My goal is 200. I want to set the timeline for aprox 31 weeks from now, which is may 31st. If I don’t do it, I will pay all 4 of you $1000 each. thats gotta be atleast a months worth of steriods michael. When I do reach 200 pounds by may 31st, the 4 of you will agree on a 3 to 4 days in june or july to meet at the location of my choice. You will be responsible for your own travel ect….. I”ll be honest with you, the odds are in your favor. So does the deal sound to good to be true. if so agree to it. If you think about it, its what we call in the biz a “win win”.

i’ll look forward to your responses.

About the challenge, you are crazy! But hey, if that what motivates you, then I’m all for it, plus it would make these monkeys commit to actually getting together (which you know is highly unlikely), but it is definitely a “win win”

I’m in too… you know I want cash and a get together. (I woulda done it in a heartbeat this summer if it weren’t for the ol’ house) I would even sugest having a get together no matter what, and if you loose we can just use our cool G to cover our expenses. Then it’s a “win win” for you too. (you loose 50 lbs and we get together, or you remain pastee and foot the bill for the get together… either way, we will all see each other next summer!) Doms and Scam better get in on this since they both graduate this year!

So, in summary… my suggested alterations to the deal are, we plan to get together no matter what next summer, if you loose 50 lbs we pay our way and if you don’t we get $1000 to use for the trip.

So………. where do you guys want to get together? We could go somewhere and worry about a hotel or we could go to someones house, i’d say go to utah at spencer’s mansion or come out to philly. Maybe i could see if Jen wanted to go to oklahoma for a visit with the family and it could be a guys week here! If we did it during the summer we should go to baseball games in philly, boston, ny and baltimore and hit all the sites as well!!!!

Sweet Hinkley… let’s go on vacation all june so I’m not stuck at the inlaws for a month! We should ride motorcycles across mexico or something. Or, play it safe and ride around the states. If not motorcycles, at least take a car trip. Drive route 66 and absorb the local culture (aka… eat lots of fried road food!) Or up highway 1 or someplace like that. Or we could go to branson and ride mo-peds!

But, I say we definantly DO NOT go to someones house. We will just end up sitting around trying to figure out what to do, not come up with anything and end up playing x-box the whole time. Now… if the plan was to sit around, do nothing and play x-box, then that’s okay (as long as that’s the plan) And we should go crazy with it. Rent a big screen tv and a barkalounger for everyone and set them up in a row and have a licensed medical profesional come to the house and hook us all up with a cafine IV and so we don’t need to go to the toilet.
