So what do you think? Is this for real?
Filed under: Uncategorized — doms @ 12:50 pm
Well, I’m scared to commit to this whole trip thing (mainly the part being spence’s choice of location combined with thoughts of going to Mexico!). Are you guys crazy? I think so. I don’t trust any of this.

In other news, the missionaries are scheduled to come over for dinner on Tuesday. How about that.

don’t feed the missionaries any of your anti God crap. Be nice to them.
mexico is a good idea. i think it needs to be somewhere completely new. somewhere none of us have been.
Tomorrow is the big day to start the process. all i gotta do is lose 1.6 pounds per week over 31 weeks. Thats childs play.
additionaly. I need a full commitment by peeps if they want to be a part of this wager/project. If you don’t committ with in a day or two you are out.

If Doms is a little girl… do you split his 1,000 between those of us who manned up? lol
Comment by Seth — October 29, 2007 @ 10:42 am
I’m not going to give the missionaries any kind of difficult time. I look forward to their visit. I still respect them.
About the “bet,” I’m out. I have to be wise not to commit to something I can’t be 100% sure I can honor. I’ll still want to get together, no doubt about that. I just may not be able to do exactly what you guys want at the very moment you want it. I guess I’ll have to be $1000 less of an incentive to lose weight for spence. I don’t mind being a little girl. Come on, you all have fantasized about being a girl!

IN!
Did i get the response in time?
Come on Doms, that is why you plan ahead, if you plan a vacation, what stops you besides a death or something crazy. You people need to learn how to plan. Like a job for example, if you get hired, you say upfront, i have a vacation trip planned this XXXX date. And they say, OK. People really read to much into things they shouldn’t.

One more caveat, i think Mexico is out of the place along with someplace really cool too, Jen would kill me if i went on a vacation with you monkeys, since i have never taken her on one yet…………………. maybe well go on one before!!! LOL

Ok, one more comment………… I don’t think that anyone follows the blog anymore, so we need to spice it up real quick, how about going back to our extremely controversial and upsetting!
Comment by jtuffy — October 30, 2007 @ 4:17 pm
Dude, you can’t rule out mexico because your a bad husband. And besides, I’m not talking about going to a resort. I’m talking about hoping on a motercycle and hitting the knity grity Mexico. Heading to the real places (like central mexico or the southern pacific coast)… off the beaten trail not the tourist traps. Absorbing the local culture (since Scam speaks the language… hope your spanish is up to snuff!) and eating crazy food. Not the Club Med vacation you take your family on.
And don’t force Michael to go… his ego will just slow us down anyway. Not to mention his preening and ludacris protein regiment! Not really condusive to a spontanious and enjoyable time.

I don’t know, I was pretty spoon-taneous with your mom.
Here’s the thing for those of you with limited brain capacity to understand other lifestyles: It’s not about planning. At least not when you live a lifestyle that favors those that are available, even at the last minute. This is how I live for now. It will be this way until I get where I’m going. I can’t plan so far ahead. Plus, plus, plus, I can’t plan ahead simply because I don’t know if I’ll have the funds. Straight up. This is true even though I am leaning “heavily” towards the belief that spence will flat fail at his efforts to lose weight… again. Okay, time for the missionaries. Where are they?
Comment by DOMS 287 — October 30, 2007 @ 6:02 pm
limited capacitance? too funny… since capacitance is the property of being able to collect a charge of electricity, yes… my capacitance is limited.

Also… why are the missionaries coming to dinner? Did you guys invite them? Sounds like a good time.
Comment by Seth — October 30, 2007 @ 6:33 pm
Holy Smokes… did you guys see that the Alycats lost? To the GoDolphs? Crazy!
Comment by Seth — October 30, 2007 @ 6:53 pm
Doms, what in the wide world of steroids and body building would you be doing next summer. You won’t be in school. then or probably for atleast a year after that. Obviously you won’t have a job. if it hasn’t happend in 28 years i can’t imagine why you would start then. We will make sure and not do it around the time of any muscle bot gay orgy events. So what in the world else could you have going on. And obviously your not too confident that I won’t drop the weight or you would make the deal. I will understand your great frustration you will have when I will in 6 months and with my own common sense accomplish what has taken you 5 years and probably well over $100k to do. That will eat at you for years to come.
Obviously none of us expected you would participate. You only do things for two reasons. If its good for Michael or if its good for Michael.
obviously it will be Jon, Seth, And Me. Cameron might participate if its at his house.
Seth what do you think this is the 1800’s. You are crazy if you think I am going to stroll through run down BFE parts of mexico. We would be dead within a day. its not like taking a trip to rural america. vacation spots are vacation spots for a reason. Its because there the only places worth visiting in the country.
I think we should do a road trip on motorcycles across the country. Seth I could get a side car for you. It would be sweet.
ya, i decided to throw a game, let the alycats lose on purpose so you guys would stop whining. The alycats will be back on their game next week.
Seth did you get your nike ipod gear? You in for the challange with Jon and Me?
Comment by you are all panzies — October 30, 2007 @ 10:37 pm
I probably won’t have the gear for a week or so… and even then, I have no idea when I am going to be able to run. I would have to get up at like 5 in the morning and it’s just too cold for me to really want to do that. The rest of the day I am at school, at the house or taking care of the kiddos. But I do want to start running again so I’ll see what I can do. I’ve made some good progress (down to 225) and I don’t want to blow it.
Spence, I will totaly ride in your side car! wink wink… but, really… I would totaly ride in your side car. That would be too funny!
Comment by Seth — October 31, 2007 @ 1:55 am
Oh man, now that is a controversial email. Can’t wait to see the response on that one spence. The mental image of Seth in a side car and specer with peach fuzz pork chops is to die for!
And yes, even the busiest of people can schedule things in advance, its not like we live in industrial revolution times where you couldn’t get off for anything. This is a time-off, self-indulgent society we live in. If you don’t commit early, it just shows that it is just not important. Now, if the situation is money, that is a different story. But everyone can make commitments.
Seth - you need to get the ipod gear, Spence and I are going to have a showdown this week!
Comment by jtuffy — October 31, 2007 @ 8:09 am
Money isn’t an issue either… that’s crazy. As Spence has said in the past, you just need to work at Micy D’s for a week and you’ll have enough. I plan on having some sort of job when I’m done with the house… but in order to make my commitment to you guys… if I have to work fast food for a week or two… I’ll do it. You sacrifice for things that are important… and obviously we aren’t worth much to Michael.
And, again with the I-pod buisness… I should be able to get it in a week or so.
Comment by Seth — October 31, 2007 @ 9:37 am
See, that is dedication, willing to work fast food for a week or two to get some extra cash. That is a commitment right there.
Comment by jtuffy — October 31, 2007 @ 9:54 am
Wow! What a commitment! Did seth really, truly SAY he would work fast food for us!!! Amazing! It takes a real trooper to SAY he WOULD do something!!
Comment by DOMS 287 — October 31, 2007 @ 9:59 am
I think we need to get Seth a 360 just for his patriot act of commitments.
Comment by jtuffy — October 31, 2007 @ 10:03 am
Michael… you can sling your sarcasm, but when I say I’ll be there and that I’ll do what ever it takes (now I should say that I’ll do everything in my power to get a decent job outside the fast food industry… but, what ever it takes), people believe it. How about your record?
Oh… and good job on editing post 9. You should have left it the way it was… first funny thing you’ve said all thread!
Can you guys imagine Michael working at McDonalds?
Comment by Seth — October 31, 2007 @ 4:25 pm
Doms, No comment on post comment 13. Come on, come up with something good.
Comment by you are all panzies — October 31, 2007 @ 11:13 pm
Seth, I’m not so sure your record is all that clean. Not only that, but you doing whatever it takes to be with the guys isn’t always a blessing to the group (”I have a feeling…”).
Smengler, you are so far out in left field that I don’t have the energy to contest your crazy claims. #1, I have a job now (actually two + classes + master’s thesis work). #2, I will have a job over the summer as well.
What else can I say. <——– notice the missing “?”
Comment by DOMS 287 — November 1, 2007 @ 12:41 am
what are your 2 jobs? Halo 2 and Halo 3.
