Hello! This is so much fun! Your hair looks great Alyson! You can always pull off short hair. I just got mine trimmed and was a little sad. Anyway, things are really going well. I am so excited to have a girl and I’m exactly four months away today. And we signed the final papers for the house, so now we are waiting for the building permits which can take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Then they will start on the foundations! I just got back from taking some FCCLA girls to Boise so that was fun. And I have already had my spring break, but we can still come down on a regular weekend which we should do soon because once the house gets started Seth will be very busy every Saturday (it’s a required work day). We’ll let you know as soon as we make a decision about coming down.
Kresseda, it has been forever! Please post pics of Elliot. I havn’t seen him since we were in OK last August. And it will be nice to hear all that you have been up to.
Hi Jenny!

So I am definetly enjoying the short hair it is so much easier, I can get ready in half the time. Plus I am going to the gym much more frequently. It is just easier when you know your not going to have to come home and spend forever drying and straightening your hair. 20 30 minutes and I am done. Rachel that is great that you are having a girl, I had not heard that. Very exciting. You guys will definetly need to come down here soon. That is great about you house though, very exciting. Jenny- I am not jelouse of the weather you get when you live in the north east, the winters last way to long…I however am enjoying a nice 60 degrees today though i think it is supposed to get cold again in a few days and be rainy. We will see. So have you guys been watching American Idol? It is really annoying this year, but I still can’t stop watching. Oh well.
Comment by alyhenry — April 16, 2007 @ 9:41 pm
Hey guys! Sorry about that pathetic post…I was interupted mid blog. I’m glad to hear everyone is doing well. Things out here are going great. The NE does have really long winters but it’s nice to be so close to so many things! We went to the crayola factory last weekend, which was pretty fun. I bet Grace would like it better then Kirsten though, it was a bit old for her. Oh, and it was her birthday today. She was really sick so it was kindof sad. We were planning on going to Chuckee Cheese but she was coughing like crazy so we’ll have to do that later. 60 degrees…ah that sounds nice! Well I hope everyone is doing great! I want to see updated pictures of Elliot too, I guess it hasn’t been that long since I’ve see him…oh well I still want more pics! I’m going to get my hair cut tomorrow, any ideas? Oh, and I HATE american Idol this year! I’m so disapointed especially since last year was so good! But, I’m like you Alyson I can’t stop watching, it’s ridiculous.

I’m sorry Alyson I didn’t tell you I was having a girl. I just assumed Seth told Spencer and he would tell you. Anyway, it looks like we just might come down this weekend! We just have to work a few things out. I will definitly bring scrapbooking stuff, I can’t wait to try out your Cricut!Oh my goodness, I just did something I should not have. Never feed a two year old a popsicle, we might have to take this outside. It has been beautiful. Like Alyson said it should get cold, I think I saw a chance of snow later this week, but that’s a Rexburg spring for you. Well Jenny, I hope Kirsten enjoys her party at Chuckee Cheese and that she is feeling better.I will too be watching American Idol tonight. I heard it was Martina McBride and you know I love my country. I have missed a few recent ones. I loved the week with Gwen Stefani, there were some good performances and especially hers on Wednesday. Talk to you later.

Great, I’m a little bored because my kids are cooking so I just have to keep one eye on them. Jenny, how did the haircut go? I’m sorry I didn’t have any ideas for you, you know me, I keep it pretty plain. Alyson, we are getting our car checked out this afternoon so hopefully things look good for the drive down tomorrow. Are you sure this is a good weekend for you guys? If not let me know?
Comment by Rachel — April 19, 2007 @ 12:16 pm
hey rachel this weekend is great I hope your car is working so we can get some scrapbooking done. So Jenny did you get to Chuckee Cheese, Grace went there for a birthday party a while back and woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. She has real issues with people in costume. So is Kirstin feeling better, sick kids are so sad Grace has another ear infection. She just barely got over her last one a few weeks ago. (that one lasted for a month) She has an appointment with the ear doctor in a month I think they will put in more permament tubes, her old ones have fallen out. So Sanjaya is finally gone!! Did you guys catch Simone’s eye roll, did you buy what he said last night. Kinda funny huh.
Comment by alyhenry — April 19, 2007 @ 12:40 pm
Hey guys! Well, actually we didn’t get to go to Chuckee Cheese, Kirsten was really sick! We went to the doctor on Tuesday and he thought that she had asthma, her lungs sounded so bad. We’ve been giving her breathing treatments. We have to put a mask on her face while steam blows into her mouth and nose, it’s been ok. I only had to hold her down once while she screamed her head off. She is getting better, and maybe we’ll go to chuckee cheese tonight. That’s really funny that grace had nightmares! I think I remember you telling me about that, that she was scared of Spencer’s dad when he dressed up as Santa Clause or something? (am I just making that up, or did it happen)Anyway, I’m very glad Sanjaya got voted off, although I do feel bad for him because it’s not his fault he stayed on so long. I’m not sure how I feel about the footage they showed of Simon as “proof” that he wasn’t rolling his eyes at Chris’s comment. He was looking right at Chris when he rolled his eyes and it had been a few seconds since either him or Paula spoke to each other. So, I don’t know. I think he was just rolling his eyes because he thought Chris was trying to win some votes with his comment… Oh well, regardless, nasally doesn’t sound good, even if it is a form of singing, that’s all I have to say…I can’t believe Grace is getting ear infections again! That’s awful! Well. I hope you guys have fun this weekend. I will be spending tomorrow with Carrie George, so that should be fun, and then this weekend with Melinda, so I’m excited. (sorry for such a long post!!!)

Hey! How was the weekend? Did you guys get lots of scrapbooking in? I’m jelous, I wish I could’ve been there too! Do anything else fun?
Comment by JennyTowns — April 26, 2007 @ 12:34 pm
hey sorry been awhile since i’ve been on here. To busy keeping up with the guys gay blogging, very interesting. the weekend was good I had a lot of fun we got a lot of scrapbooking done so that was good. I actually only have a few more pages until i am all caught up. So that is exciting. So I am not allergic to milk, after months of no dairy and still being bloated most of the time I went back to the doctor and had them do an allergy test, which came back negative. They also tested eggs and soy and a few others. And took blood to check for the wheat allergy, which thank goodness I did not have, that would be the worst. Anyway my doctor had me have a hida scan to look at my gallblader last week. An hour and a half laying on a skinny little table, not fun. So while i have no stones or anything, it is functioning at 25% instead of the 35% it is supposed to be at. So I have an appointment with a surgeon next week. I really have no idea why my gallblader not functioning would make me bloated and I am not really sure that taking it out will fix it but we will see. My fingers are crossed anyway. (sorry Rachel I know you all ready heard all this) Well hope everything is well with every one.

Hello! Thanks Alyson for the great weekend, it was very relaxing and we did get lots of scrapbooking done. I’m glad we didn’t rush off on Sunday, it wasn’t bad at all getting back around 10:30.Jenny and Carrie, what did you do in PA? And Carrie, it is good hearing from you, what was that dream job you were talking about?Cameron, thanks for posting pics of your cute little boy. Tell Kressyda Hi and that we will love to hear from her whenever she gets a chance.Well, just four more weeks for me, then it will be an extra long summer break! I’m still making lesson plans for that class I’ve never taught, so any ideas would be great. Just think about what you would have enjoyed learning about in a 9th grade Home ec class.(Other than cooking and sewing)I’m just getting lazy and would rather sit around and watch TV then make lesson plans. Speaking of, American Idol was so pathetic this week, especially wednesday. I don’t know what I was expecting, but something much better than that. And the Office was okay, the beginning and end was definitely the best part. I’ve talked enough, hope everyone has a great weekend!
Comment by Rachel — April 27, 2007 @ 8:36 pm
Alyson, that was supposed to be our little secret…
That whole gallbladder thing makes no sense, you’ll have to let me know what happens. I’m sure it will be sooo nice to finally know what’s causing everything. Doctors are crazy.
I’m glad you guys had fun! I really need to get on my scrapbooking. I haven’t done it since Thanksgiving. Things have been a little crazy with the move and everything, but I’m ready to get back into it.
I drove Carrie up to Ithaca, we had a lot of fun chit chatting in the car. Carrie, let me know what’s going on with your job stuff. Oh, and those directions were so good! Thank you! Ithaca is so beautiful, especially compared to Syracuse…
And Rachel, I actually thought American idol was much better than I expected. I do think the whole idea was a little ridiculous, they could’ve gotten money in a different way I think, especially considering the amount of money that was made in advertising from that show. I admit I did bawl my eyes out a few times. Those little kids break my heart!
Guess what? I got gas in Scranton on Monday, that was pretty exciting. I didn’t love the office on Thursday, the beginning and the end were good, I agree.
I’ll try to think about some ideas for your class rachel. Hey, did either of you guys ever have a problem with clingy children? Kirsten has never been clingy until the last couple of months, it’s been sooo frustrating!!!
Comment by JennyTowns — April 27, 2007 @ 10:00 pm
Hey so I had my doctors appointment this week and the surgeon found nothing that would suggest that he should take out the gallbladder which was pretty much what I was expecting. Of course I managed to make the appointment during pms week and had a total melt down in the office (so embaressing) Oh well at least I don’t know the guy he probably thought I was crazy. He was nice though and humored me with another ultrasound. So Spence and I went to Cali this last weekend, that was a lot of fun, nice to get away for a bit. We are going to take Grace back in September to go to Disneyland. We sent her a postcard while we were there from the disney princesses saying that they heard she was coming to disneyland and that they couldn’t wait to meet her ect. ect. Anyway I can’t wait for it to get here I know she will be so excited. So have you guys heard about the secret? Spencer is really into it, which is so funny to me. Anyway Spencer and I were talking about it and prayer, and Grace turns to us and says “prayers always come true” and earlier in the day she had gotten into trouble and Spencer was telling her how when she misbehaves she makes mommy and daddy sad and that she also makes Heavenly Father and Jesus sad and she says and Joseph Smith to?Sorry Jenny, Grace has never been clingy, do you think it is from the move? I don’t know what to tell you. I get how that could be frustrating. Hopefully she will just grow out of it. Good luck. Hope you guys are having a good weekend.
Comment by alyson — May 4, 2007 @ 12:38 pm
Alyson, I’m glad you don’t have to have surgery. And it sounded like California was nice, laying on a beach soaking up the sun with no parenting responsibilities sounds great! Anyway, we did watch the secret video, one of Seth’s friends had it, so I think we got the idea and won’t need to read the book, (because I’m like spence and can count the number of books I have read on two hands)so I liked it and thought it is definitely true. However, I know that the Lords plans are much bigger than any “law of the universe” and that the secret is just the beginning of making good things happen. You can’t just think it, you must act on those positive thoughts. I’ve seen it happen in my life so many times, (as I’m sure everyone else has) and it goes the other way. For example when I think bad/ negative thoughts about something or someone, then all I get is that person or something to fail. And before I give a lesson or speak in public, if I keep really positive and confident in myself then I do great. So those are a few of my thoughts on the matter.Jenny, you are right about the American Idol gives back week, it was for a very good cause, I just wasn’t impressed with the performances, especially the Celin Dion and Elvis bit. What do you guys think about the remaining four? I still don’t have a favorite, but I do like them all. And like Alyson I don’t have any experience with the clinging. How often is it? Just when you leave her or all the time? And another disappointing week of the Office! I was laughing my head off and cringing at the same time, because my parents just got into it with Greg and they know it’s our favorite show. So next week better be a lot cleaner or I don’t know what we are going to do. Maybe get some morals and turn it off, but that probably won’t happen:) Happy Friday!
Comment by Rachel — May 4, 2007 @ 2:55 pm
Hey guys how’s it going? I’m glad too, Alyson, that you don’t have to have the surgery. Although, if you’re anything like me, I’d probably rather have the surgery if it would fix the problem…so I hope you’re not disapointed. I really hope that they figure out what’s wrong, I know how frustrating that can be!!! That trip to California sounds sooo nice! it’s always nice to get away from the kiddos for a little while. And Grace is hilarious! I love her little comments.Yeah, I think Kirsten’s clingyness is from the move and just a phase she’s going through. She’s getting better but it is frustrating. It’s pretty much mostly at the gym. She’ll bawl the whole time I’m gone until the ladies come and get me. So, it’s really unusual. Usually kids stop crying after a little while. I don’t think she likes the people at that gym, so I’m going to go somewhere else…Rachel, are you almost done with school? Are you getting excited? Rachel I think your comment to “the secret” was very well put. I don’t know anything about it except for what you said. I do think it’s a great idea, the mind is sooo powerful! You can really change the way you feel with the way you think. I actually just read an article by Elder Oaks where he was being interviewed about homosexuality and he pretty much said that you can change your feelings through your thoughts which is interesting.I still hate American Idol, I really don’t even care if I watch it or not. I don’t care who wins I don’t care who goes home, it’s a real disapointment! The office was pretty bad last week, but the end was pretty funny!

Hey guys how are things going, sorry it has been so long. I am headed to Maine tonight, crappy flight I leave at 11:30pm and have a 3 hour lay over in Newark. Plus the flight was almost full when I booked it and all they had left were middle seats. Oh well the trip should be good my sister graduates this friday so that is why I am going but my parents have no idea that I am coming so that should be fun.So, Jenny how is Kirstin doing with the clingyness? Better I hope. Grace has been really winey lately which is driving me crazy. I think it is because I let her get away with it all winter because I knew she wasn’t feeling well with the constant ear infections, even when she didn’t have an ear infection her tonsils and lymphnoids were swollen. I was hoping after her surgery (new tubes and something taken out but for the life of me I can’t remember what it was) it would be better but not so much I just need to make sure I crack down and sit her in timeout everytime she flips out.So ever since grace was born i have been waiting to be able to sign her up in Soccer, she is finaly old enough and her first day was last monday, man she looked so dang cute in her soccer get up. We took a few pics I will have to post them on here sometime. She said she had a lot of fun, i just need to make sure a keep my enthusiasm under control so she feels like she can quit if she desides she hates it later.Have you guys ever heard of those personality test, there is a lady in our ward who does it for a job so she did a class for a RS activity it was really interesting, I took the test and it showed i have issues but I all ready new that so oh well. well I hope you guys are doing well.
Comment by Alyson — June 6, 2007 @ 11:21 am
Hey what’s going on? (This is Jenny too lazy to sign out and back in) I guess you’re back from Maine, Alyson. How was that? How long did you stay? Were your parents surprised?I bet Grace is adorable in her soccer outfit. Is she still enjoying it? They have soccer classes here for 2 year olds that I think I’ll sign Kirsten up for this fall (not that she will learn anything but it’s good for her socialization) They call it little kickers so basically they just kick a ball around, but I think it sounds fun. Kirsten’s clingy stage is pretty much over. I think the move just freaked her out. She still gets really timid around large groups of kids. She always sticks her fingers in her mouth at the park when she’s nervous. I think it’s because she hasn’t been around a lot of kids. Oh well, she’ll be fine.So what personality test did you take? Those are pretty fun. Well life here is good, things are starting to get back to normal after having the in laws in and out for the last few weeks. Talk to you soon
Comment by jtuffy — June 13, 2007 @ 5:21 pm
Two year olds playing soccer that will be cute. That is good that she is coming out of her clingyness. The fingers in her mouth when she is nervous, that is cute. The personality test is called wired that way basically the same as the color code. have you heard of it?
Maine was fun, my mom was completely surprised. It was nice to go back, it has been awhile. I went into Boston to see Kim for a day she had a singles activity that she needed to go to since she is on the activities commitee so that was weird and the weather was rainy but we had fun. We went to a concert, Feist I don’t know if you know her I hadn’t but it wasn’t bad. I actually think I might download a few of her songs.
So Jenny did Jon mention us coming in july and going to the hill cumorah pagent? He told Spencer your mom and sister would be there but that it didn’t matter, figured I better check with you. Even if we didn’t come during the pagent I think it would be fun to drive up to Palmyra. Have you ever been?
Comment by Alyson — June 14, 2007 @ 5:51 pm
I just heard Feist on the radio today. I like her music (what I’ve heard anyway), it’s pretty good. Maine sounds fun! That’s cool that you got to surprise your mom. The single’s activity sounds uncomfortable. I’m so excited for you guys to come! I guess Jonathan told you that July probably wouldn’t be the best time. But we’ll definitely have to go up to Palmyra. I’ve been to Palmyra a couple times but I’ve never seen the pageant.

Hey ladies - this is Kress. I just wanted to say hi and love ya’all. Having Spencer here this weekend made me very nostalgic for the good old days of late night scrap-booking and competitive scum. i miss you all and hope that my lack of internet will not seclude me from the group. One day, when we actually have an income, we will get the internet and I will chat, chat, chat!!! XXOO Kress

This is Rachel, haven’t written in a while and would like to see us average more than two comments a month. So I will do better. Just sitting around waiting for this baby to come, trying not to get any hopes up that she will come early like Benjamin did. Seth keeps telling me to go on a long walk, but I am too darn lazy! I just went to the doctor and I have started progressing with things so who knows!? I am trying to keep positive, because I am very afraid. I am going to use the secret at the hospital so I can have a pain free delievery. I’ll let you know how it goes:)
We are finally settled into the new apartment in Rigby. I love being so close to the house and the school. I can walk to work next year! And we walk to church! I love not using gas! If only the grocery store here in town delieverd like they did in Rexburg then I would be set!
The house is coming along, I should learn how to post pictures on here so you can see it. I’m pretty much done working out there for a few weeks. Luckily Seth’s infection healed with the antibiotic. Once when it cools down, it will be really nice to work out there. It’s actually kind of fun. Not as scary as I thought it would be.
We’ll let you all know when baby girl comes. Hope everyone is enjoying whats left of the summer.
Comment by Seth — August 9, 2007 @ 2:59 pm
Hey guys is has been a while how are things going? Rachel thought of any names yet? Hope things go well with the secret:) Things are not that exciting in my life I think that is why I don’t post that often. I started the fertility drugs, so hopefully I don’t end up with a bunch of babies, that would be really hard. I am really not that worried my doctor said the average is 1 in 80 and the drugs up it to 1 in 40 so still not that great of a chance. Though Spencer is hoping I am the 1 in the 40 easy for him since he doesn’t have to carry them or feed them or completely lose his mind:)
So here is a really funny story…. I was eating some lunch at Quizno’s with Grace the other day and there were a couple of guys from the army there (in there fatigues) and Grace looks at me and says “Hey they are wearing what you wear to go kill people!” Clear as day there backs were to us but when they turned to leave one of them had a big grin on his face and said Hi. I was too shocked at first to do anything but laugh but when I asked her how she new that she told me. “From watching a movie with Daddy.” Obviously I need to talk to Spencer about what he watches when Grace is around.
So I forget are you guys Harry Potter fans? I finished the 7th book way to fast. Have you seen the movie yet? I went with Jill and Sallie, so I didn’t have to drag Spencer. It was really good best one so far.
Grace starts school on the 20th I am very excited. It will be nice to have my free time back. This summer has gone by really fast a little to fast I suppose but I am ready for the fall to come and for it to be a bit cooler outside. Plus we are taking Grace to Disneyland in the next couple months so that should be fun really fun.
Well hope things are well with you guys and Kirstin and Benj are doing great. Jenny I hear you are going to the beach a lot I am so jealous, I am stuck with the pool or Spanish Fork Resevoir as swimming options.

Hey!! I’m on the internet again….for the first time since Spencer came to visit. Anyhow, Alyson - I’m so glad you finished Harry Potter. I read it the weekend it came out and since then, have not been able to find anyone who reads Harry Potter. Go figure, its only the most popular book of the century. I’m dying to discuss. What did you think? I was very pleased. I felt completely satisfied. Give me a call if you’d like. Rachel - can’t wait for you to have that baby. Make sure to send pics so we can all see. Jen - I get updates from your mom, but hope all’s well in Philly. I saw a picture of Kirsten from your dad. She’s gorgeous. You’re gonna have to beat the guys off!! Carrie - what’s new. Coming to OK anytime soon???
Comment by Kressyda — August 12, 2007 @ 11:52 pm
Hello! Rachel again, still no baby. I’m starting to prepare for the fact that she just might come late. I really can’t complain, I’m feeling pretty good and not too uncomfortable. My mom had Jeff almost two weeks late, so it could happen. We have had the name Maggie picked out for quite some time, it was the first name we agreed on and it stuck, the middle name is still a toss up. I really like Ella but not sure if it flows. Anyway, Alyson that is exciting about the fertility drugs! I hope you don’t have triplets either, that would be crazy! And that is a very funny story about Grace, I can’t wait until Benjamin starts talking and says funny things. And sorry, I’m not reading Harry Potter. Seth just borrowed the book from a friend and I’m sure he will be ready and willing to discuss. We started reading the books together years ago when they first came out, but Seth got frustrated because we were going way too slow so he just finished them all. Which was fine with me. Speaking of reading really slow, I have actually been reading the Work and Glory series for the past ten to eleven years and I just finished the last one! Quite the accomplishment!:) (I know, Jenny and Jon read all the books in less than a year)Jenny- What’s up!?
Comment by Seth — August 14, 2007 @ 3:32 pm
Hey guys! I just decided to check this and saw that there were a few more posts. But I guess they were written almost 2 months ago, shows how long it’s been since I’ve looked. I’m glad to hear all is well with everyone. Well, at least it was. How is Grace doing at school? Is she going half day every day now? I can’t believe she’s almost 5! That is just insane! There are quadruplets that come to story time every week. They are so cute! But I think I would be devastated if I found out I was having any more than one! Their mom always has at least one other person with her to help her. I can’t even imagine! That’s exciting that you’re on fertility though. You’ll have to let us know what happens? Any bad side effects?I guess Maggie is here now. HAPPY BIRTHDAY rachel, by the way. Oh and tell Spencer Happy birthday too. Remember how cool you used to think it was to have the same birthday as Spencer? Oh good times! How’s the house? I can’t wait to see pics!Kressyda, how are you? I always hear about you from my mom too. After Spencer came out there and hung out with you guys I got so nostalgic. I miss those good old times so much sometimes, just hanging out without any real responsibilities. And man I was always so stressed. what a dork! I wish I could do that all over again sometimes.Well, we find out what we’re having in a few weeks. I’ll keep you updated. This is really long. Sorry.
