Well i picked up the secret over the weekend and have read 40 pages so far. It is pretty good, of course it should be since it is a motivational book. It does seem to focus a lot on money (perhaps why spence likes it so much) : ) I do think that the power of one’s thoughts are more powerful than we can imagine; however, i do not agree with the book when it states that we can have anything through our thoughts and things just don’t happen that you can’t control, (somewhat of a parody to SH-5) Jen and i our reading the book together, well not together but she reads, then i read. I liked the part about meditation, i should try this out.

Ya that is the main thing I have taken from the secret. that our thoughts have more power than we normally think they do. I agree they want you to believe they are more powerful than they are though. I think this is partially because they have dumbed the book down for the average joe. If they said you have to have positive thoughts and go and take action. nobody would do it. cuz they are too lazy. but if they say all you have to do is think positive thoughts, people will do that. And by doing that, those positive thoughts will lead to positive actions. I too like the meditation stuff. I think that must take alot of practice, to gain that much control over your thoughts. and to focus your thoughts on things, but it might not be too different than prayer.

the thank you part I think is a good concept, but was very cheesy and extreme.

The best part about the book is actually applying it. Trying it on little things or big things.
