Alright puffy, now that you’ve indulged in the races, new vehicles AND the rocket tag, you owe me 6 bucks. When are we racing again?

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 27, 2007 @ 10:34 am

what the crap is rocket tag?

I’ll get the gritty details from my sis, but from what she was saying, the advantages are the training and other “franchise” perks that they help the store owners with. the stores are a whole lot nicer and more organized and the big thing is the tournaments. they corporate sponsors give killer prizes and she says they attract people from all over.

think about it, in tulsa, no one does tournaments. i don’t know if they do them in rexburg or provo, but think if we made them sweeter than anything anyone has seen, we could rake it in.

Comment by The Scam — August 27, 2007 @ 12:25 pm

I think Tulsa does have some sort of tournaments at times. Rocket tag is great! I can’t wait to have another go at it when we actually have more time (you know, when the gears-only freaks aren’t begging for time). Scam, you should know what rocket tag is. It’s a crackdown thing.

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 27, 2007 @ 2:00 pm

obviously i’m not down with the crackdown scene yet, since i can’t even beat the lowly vok bosses.

fill me in, or is it something i need the internet to do. if that’s the case, i’m resigning myself to loser-dom.

Comment by The Scam — August 27, 2007 @ 2:16 pm

It’s totally cool. You do need the internet simply because you need two people. I think I’m the only one with the feature. I paid for a download that I think made it available. You know how you stand on those highlighted spots and it counts down to a rooftop race or something? Well, it added others, one being the rocket tag where two agents are needed. When you both stand on the starting spot, it counts down. Then it says, say, to me I have 60 seconds to tag tuffy with my rocket. So you both scramble - him running away to avoid being hit with a rocket that I’m equipped with. If I hit him before the 60 sec are up, then it’s his turn to tag me, and so on until someone can survive for 60 seconds. It’s hilarious! So do you now feel filled in? Which vok boss can’t you beat?

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 27, 2007 @ 2:50 pm

Hey! You weren’t hyphenating “loser” to “dom”, as in “DOMS”, were you??? I seriously doubt it because I know you are smart enough to know that those two words don’t go in the same sentence unless you’re talking about me and my opponent!

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 27, 2007 @ 2:55 pm

I missed some funny stuff today, yep, i’m 2-0 in the rocket tag vs Doms! Booyah

Comment by jtuffy — August 27, 2007 @ 8:54 pm

Have you noticed how scam never responds after being questioned about which of the vok bosses he can’t beat? Interesting. Yeah, puffy may be in a 2-0 lead, but I was highly distracted during those runs. Round 1, Brooke was all up in my business, and for Round 2, the phone was ringing and I had to answer it. Not such a glamorous 2-0 lead… The real test will come next time we actually have more than just a few minutes to play! Also, funny how tuffy didn’t mentioned my, what is it now, 3-0 lead in the races, hmmmm???

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 27, 2007 @ 9:35 pm

yo yo yo. So Jon is racing with his nike’s. Michael only races in crackdown, because steriods make your muscles bulky and hard to run with, Seth wants to open another game store in rexburg(sounds like a winner), and cameron i have no idea what you are up to.

What is this cell phone, game store type thing anyways.

Seth sorry, i haven’t called to give congrats. I could tell you i’ve been busy, but that sounds lame i guess. Hope she is doing well, i’ll give you a call sometime.

Well i went to vegas last week. I would tell you guys some stories, but you would have to go confess to your bishop just from hearing them. LOL

Seth do you still watch rated R movies? If so you should see superbad. Not really, but there is about 45 minutes of really funny material.

cya next week.

Comment by Jimmy Hostility — August 28, 2007 @ 12:30 am

So spence is fornicating, gambling and watching R movies! What in the wild world of sports is going on here.

Doms-Always Always and may i say, Always an excuse! LOL You were “tagged” fair and square! BoomShakalaka!

So is everyone pumped for Football season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not overly excited since Oklahoma probably has a pretty good chance of not making it big this year, but regardless, it still should be intersting. Plus BYU is coming off the 10 game streak with Arizone up this saturday, a close game last year where the cougars gave it away. We are having a little BYU party on Saturday with some die-hard cougar fans (non of those whimpy ones like spence!) It should be fun.

Cam - You should be pumped by the performance of John beck! Of course you say you are a phins fan but highly doubtful that you have even follewed them! LOL. I bet you don’t even know who their quarterback is!

Well, i’m hoping for some good blogging today. I’m going to a phillies game tonight for work against the dreaded NYM, should be good (if the misses lets me go!)

Comment by jtuffy — August 28, 2007 @ 8:55 am

If the misses lets you go. come on be a man. I’m ready for some actual football to start, so they will have something other than michael vick to talk about. I hate when they cover things like that 24/7. Nothing really to be excited about with BYU football. I am sure they will win most of their games, but lose the big ones against any real competition. People will still think they are good, and they will make it some some toilet bowl against the last place team from a real conference. Its the same thing every year. Its insanity(doing same thing over and over and expecting a different result).

Cameron probably never knew who the quarterback was for the dolphins. probably knew Marino, but i bet he couldn’t name one since then. I think he just thought dolphins were cute.

Comment by Jimmy Hostility — August 28, 2007 @ 9:19 am

Yep, i am sick and tired of hearing about Michael Vick, and when the NAACP got invovled, brother bear, that was the last straw! What a dufus! And then yesterday he said he was sorry and “found Jesus”; yeah, he was sorry he got caught! LOL, that is the case with these thugs.

So big 3 day weekend coming up, what is everyone going to do?

Comment by jtuffy — August 28, 2007 @ 10:16 am

And we need to get days planned out to play games, i’m probably good saturday and sunday night!

Comment by jtuffy — August 28, 2007 @ 10:19 am

3 day weekend? Sweet. Unfortunantly it will probably be just like all my others, I’ll work on the house saturday and Mondays are our day of from construction anyway.

Spence, I have only seen 1 R rated movie this year (but it didn’t count because it was a documentary.) Though super bad does look hilarious. And, I know Jon is gonna make some comment about it being super crude… but I still find that stuff pretty funny. And I find it pretty funny that we make super crude and tasteless jokes and think they are funny… but pewpew on them when they are in the movies.

There are no video game stores here in rexburg and I think the movie theatre put one 1 tournament in the past three years. Something that is popular are LAN parties. I actualy know some guys with the equipment, they run a little company called LAN-alot. Sponcering LAN parties could be a good way to promote a videogame store here. And I know the other game store tanked… but it was because the owner was crazy and kept ordering things for the store that no one wanted. And, he pretty much allienated himself from the LDS comunity (the target market in Rexburg) because he was convinced they didn’t approve of comics and games and wanted him to go outa buisness. So… I’m sure a video game store would be great as long as the owner doesn’t go a little crazy!

Comment by Seth — August 28, 2007 @ 11:11 am

tuffy, why don’t you come over here for UConn’s first game? It’s on Sept 8th and we’re having a huge tailgate party. $16 for a ticket if we act now (I have mine). Then we can do our weekend thing. What do ya say?

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 28, 2007 @ 2:30 pm

Its the Vok boss down by the docks. I don’t know his name. Plus i stick to a grenade launcher and the big machine gun. Do you guys vary up your weapons much? Plus i just figured out how to shoot people in the head, which has helped. but, whatever tips you have fill me in.

Trent Green you pansies. And he sucks. Funny how as soon as the phins trade joey harrington he perks up and throws 2 touchdowns for atlanta. what poseur.

OU might pull it together if they can get an offense. there was this article on cnn about this dude in oklahoma that got sucked down this water drain from his pond and was shot out 70 feet down stream. apparently it was pretty rough and he struggled for a long time. he said in the midst of his turmoil, for strength, he turned his thoughts to his son, his wife, and his favorite OU football players. classic oklahoma.

Comment by The Scam — August 28, 2007 @ 3:28 pm

I just read that article, that was amazing! Too funny that he was thinking about football too! LOL

Here it is for your reading pleasure.

i’m looking forward to the byu/tu game. it’ll probably be a blowout, but it should be an event to remember.

Comment by The Scam — August 28, 2007 @ 4:34 pm

Oh man, that is some funny stuff! I don’t think I’d admit that I was thinking about football players! Actually, I know I wouldn’t even think of such a thing in the first place!

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 28, 2007 @ 5:33 pm

Don’t tell me you are going to rout for TU scam? That would be a sellout. Cause you went to both schools that is a goose egg, the Mormon card pushed you over to the Cougars side!

Comment by jtuffy — August 29, 2007 @ 7:51 am

Yeah but sometimes you may want to root for the underdog of your two teams; so of course he should root for the cougars!

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 29, 2007 @ 9:26 am

thats why i’m always rooting for you Doms.

Comment by Jimmy Hostility — August 29, 2007 @ 10:04 am

Ha, TU the underdog, you must be hyped up on roids! Little ol conference USA. BYU is going to make them look silly on their tiny high-school field! LOL

Comment by jtuffy — August 29, 2007 @ 10:05 am

I guess we’ll just have to think of it as good missionary work, dominating the Presbyterians like that.

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 29, 2007 @ 10:44 am

Come on now Doms, TU is not a presbyterian school, maybe it started out that way, but it is definitely not a church shool. And yes it will be good missionary work! LOL

Comment by jtuffy — August 29, 2007 @ 11:24 am

its going to be nasty. tu just lost their stud running back, and its not like they were going to put up much a punch before. anyway, i have to represent the home town. i’m only doing because i’m here presently and paying out a butt load to TU. byu already got my money.

sadly, this one’s on tv so the whole world will see our humiliation.

about that redneck that got sucked down the drain: i wonder which football players he was thinking of and in what way? and how did the reporter react when the dude said that? i would have just busted up.

Comment by The Scam — August 29, 2007 @ 12:18 pm

That is two reasons to rout against TU, because you are there (nowheresville Tulsa) and they are basically stealing your money! Sounds good to me. LOL

Comment by jtuffy — August 29, 2007 @ 12:24 pm

dude, i would but everyone else in the world is going for byu. i’m an underdog sort of guy. i have to go for tu.

you guys all know my loyalty to byu, i pull for them in every other situation. maybe i’ll switch halfway. i’ll start out for tu and then when byu is destroying them, i’ll run to the bathroom and switch shirts.

Comment by The Scam — August 29, 2007 @ 12:37 pm

What if BYU is 2-0 and TU is 0-2 at the time? Does that change the situation?

Comment by jtuffy — August 30, 2007 @ 10:21 am

Good question tuffy! I’d like to know that myself, scam…

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 30, 2007 @ 10:48 am

Domsy When are we going to crack it down!

Comment by jtuffy — August 30, 2007 @ 11:20 am

No, no change.

What is your stategy on crackdown? run and gun or slow and steady? do you bust in and just unload or pick them off from afar? it seems that no matter how many dudes i kill around this boss down by the docks they just keep coming. i’m stuck.

Comment by The Scam — August 30, 2007 @ 11:32 am

Tuffy, we definitely need to crack down soon. I doubt tonight is available, but you know I’m weak when I get that text… However, I will be strong not to give in to gears tonight. It’d be a crackdown-halo night for sure. I have a long day tomorrow and I don’t want to be wasted because of gears.

Scam, the boss by the docks is rather difficult. Those dudes do keep coming if I recall. You need to stay in the rocks. I remember my strategy was to launch grenades or rockets in a way to cause the boss to run away from that bunker and more down the sidewalk. Then, while hiding behind the rocks, I would just jump straight up, launch a rocket at him while I’m in the air being shot, then drop back down behind the rocks. If I were shot up enough, then I’d have to fall all the way back down into the water to regain health b/c they may throw a grenade at me otherwise. The key is to keep lighting him up with a rocket as soon as he stops burning from the last one. If you wait too long then he’ll regain his health. If the dudes around him become too thick, then I blast them with a couple of rockets to thin them out, but then focus back on the boss even though the other dudes begin to re-accumulate. Make sense? Basically, blast him from afar with the rather slow and steady approach. You have to stay hidden. If you fall all the way back down to the water like I was saying, then you need to get back up there ASAP because it was kind of hard to do and he regains his health if you take too long. I did this on psychotic.

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 30, 2007 @ 2:17 pm

No no no, the key is advantage point, not hiding in the rocks like a little school girl, you are a super agent, not a creme-puff peep! Get up on the ship from one of the cranes and get as high as you can, advantage point is the key, unless you are playing on psychotic level, which is turning the game into splinter cell trying to sneak around

Comment by jtuffy — August 30, 2007 @ 2:33 pm

Wait a sec. I was thinking you were talking about that little island with all the rocks around it. The one tuffy is talking about requires that you enter the hut he is in and get in that little hallway. You can’t kill him from way up high like that!

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 30, 2007 @ 3:54 pm

Anyone else watching the Boise State game? Not sure if they are broadcasting it anywhere else. They are playing Weber, it’s the middle of the 2nd quarter and Boise is winning 42-0… it’s pretty funny, but such a total blow-out that it’s kinda boring also. Boise just picked up another fumble too, hope they get to play some decent teams this season… instead of playing crap, going undefeated and being upset that they aren’t the champs.

Comment by Seth — August 30, 2007 @ 10:27 pm

hey cheapy cheaperson why don’t you stop worrying about how to kill people on crackdown, and start worrying about how to get internet.

You must be at such a disadvantage from your classmates. They can be researching and studying endless amounts of specific info on the internet while your sitting there like somebody from the 80’s scowering through books the size of texas.

I watched a little bit of the game seth. the problem is, how can you expect anybody to play well on that ridiculous blue field. that should be against the rules.

How is little maggie moo seth?

make sure and text me for the gaming action this weekend fella’s

Cameron if you weren’t stuck in 1986 you could play too.

Comment by Jimmy Hostility — August 30, 2007 @ 10:47 pm

Hey, are we one for tonight? Ben is a definite. We need to redeem ourselves after last night’s pathetic performance. Plus, smengler says he’s in.

Comment by DOMS 287 — August 31, 2007 @ 10:21 am

I’m most likely definitely in! I’ll see

Comment by jtuffy — August 31, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

Did anyone notice what Doms said earlier? “Hey, are we one for tonight?” What do you guys make of that? I think it’s a freudian slip and he is expressing his desire to get the man love on with Jon. Discus…
