Anybody do anything crazy over the holiday? We took Eliot swimming for the first time. It was a riot. I imagine there was some heavy Halo-ing going on somewhere.

There should’ve been some heavy halo=ing, and there was to some extent, but michael played so much that he burned up his 360! So i resorted to playing a little viva pinata, such a sweet game, don’t knock it till you try it! So where did you take the little tike swimming? Were you off friday cam? 19/30? oh that boils my blood since they don’t have them here! Ridiculous!

I think spence had the craziest weekend!

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 10:26 am

I’m getting the UFC fight next weekend on PPV so nobody say who won. But, i do want to hear some erotic las vegas stories, spence.

dude, interns don’t get 19/30. its a huge bummer. but my boss said he would find something for me to “inspect” in jenks some friday. he’s really cool.

what’s viva pinata?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 10:35 am

Yea, I wanna hear about the Smenglenator’s weekend.

Taking the little guys swimming is a load of fun! When we were in OK last summer we took Benj to the JCC alot. Good times.

I had some quality WoW time this weekend. And WoW time is always much higher quality than Halo, I mean cummon… is yelling at snot nosed little punks really that fun? Don’t fall for it Scam, check out wow instead of buying a 360!

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 10:45 am

HEy, what’s the next book on our list? Had we decided on something? Or do we need to… I can’t remember.

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 10:47 am

No sir scam, action is wear its at, unless you want to spend 35 min just running over to your destination and then realizing that you forgot to go buy the elph dagger so you have to go all the way back! LOL, halo, is in and out, its a thing of beauty!

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 11:09 am

Whatever happened to the secret, did you monkey’s read that?

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 11:10 am

Hey, there are some slow parts in wow. But you can also battle against other players. And that’s in and out just like Halo but much more intense!

I haven’t got the secret yet. I’ll just have to catch up on that one later.

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 11:18 am

I haven’t bought the secret yet either. I figure that we owe it to spencer. Did you ever finish SH-5, smengles?

We need to find something that lil’ top will read with us. Doms, suggestions?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 11:24 am

tuffy, didn’t you used to like the old warcraft? is this WoW completely different?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 11:28 am

I did use to like the old warcraft, when it was at RTS game, now this WoW is something that never ends, you just keep at it over and over for hours, just to build up to the next level. I can see how some people like it, but not my cup of tea, i like a little more action, more war-like games.

And you must be crazy to ask for a suggestion from Doms!, do you want us reading the Atkins auto-biography? LOL!

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 11:34 am

Okay, you know i love halo, but i have a complaint. most FPS are all the same, just different scenery. why don’t they combine a RTS with a FPS and make something really new?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 11:38 am

I agree, a new genre would be nice, but that is what make a genre, they are similar, the difference is in the gameplay. I think halo has perfected it, the weapons, the movement, the ability to strategize. Halo 3 is going to be the bomb, they have some new sweet features involved, like bubble shields, grav lifts and a whole slew of new weapons. One thing that i would really like to see is massive destructible environments, but i think this will crunch up too much processing power.

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 11:41 am

Check out smengler’s page, it was being neglected so i updated the page a little! LOL

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 11:53 am

I want to see WoS… that’s world of starcraft. An MMOFPSRTS, lol. Make it a shooter where you participate in larger strategic battles. And instead of leveling up, you can join new battle groups or get new and better gear as you prove yourself in combat. Could be super sweet!

And, once again… don’t knock WoW until you give it a try. You can be playing in 10v10 capture the flag battles after just an hour or two of leveling up. And if that’s what you like to do, you never have to worry about leveling again. One of the cool things about the game is the diversity of the content. You can pvp (player vs player), raid (work with large groups of people to take on very challenging bosses), group up with a few others to work through smaller versions of a raid and solo play. This has been called role-playing in the past… but a better description is Herioc RTS. Playing one character in a real-time strategy environment.

Another cool thing is that they are adding new content all the time, and alot of it is pvp content. As soon as I hit the level cap I’m going to be playing in the arena combat system, 3v3 teams duking it out gladiator style… it is super intense! And if you don’t want to take the time to level up a character (even though it’s pretty fun and helps you learn to play it) you can have one of Sir Spencer’s filipeno buddies do it for you!

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 12:04 pm

My big “knock” against those games is that there isn’t a level playing field. Everyone is at different levels in the game and has different combos of weapons that would just obliverate a newbie, whereas halo, you start each match with the same armour, the same gun pretty much, eveyone is on the same playing field, and then skill seperates the better players, not time spent playing the game.

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 12:13 pm

Yea… but playing the game really is fun. And, if you need some good gear to feel better about your chances, just ask me. I can afford to buy you some great gear. I actualy have a decked out lvl 19 that I use just to play the low level battle grounds.

Another cool thing just added is a feature that matches players with different quality gear to similur players. And then there is the skill aspect… I know way to many skilled players in crappy gear that still own the guys wearing the good stuff. If you’re good… you shouldn’t worry too much.

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 12:20 pm

Well… I’m off to the studio. And, unlike you guys, I don’t have a computer at work. It would be loaded with mud and grim within days, lol.

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 12:22 pm

i agree with tuffy. you can’t have some dude spend hours playing your character and then hand him over to you with a super high level and a ton of cool stuff. you would still get smoked by the competition.

you can’t tell me that having a ton of cool stuff in WoW isn’t an advantage. if it wasn’t then no one would try and get it. they would all use the same sword.

did anyone hear about suspence’s weekend? should i be checking the papers?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 12:54 pm

i heard about wency’s weekend romp straight from the horse’s mouth! He should give us a play-by-play though

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 1:00 pm

Okay, finally free again. This week is gonna be crazy with stuff for me to do.

We can’t have Spence give us the play-by-play b/c Scam said he wants to watch it. But Spence is probably recovering from a long night of spending right now!

And yes, my 360 is shot to bichas! I can’t believe that thing crapped out on me!

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 1:16 pm

About the halo maps, it is interesting how diverse each can be. You can play halo for years but since the maps are so conducive to varying strategies you continue to learn ways of using them uniquely.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 1:23 pm

That is too bad doms, you need to get the ball rolling ASAP on the warranty. Until then, i guess i’m stuck playing Viva Pinata! LOL

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 1:28 pm

You shouldn’t call spence that. I know he’s big and goodies burst out when you hit on him but be nice.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 1:39 pm

wowzer, looking for a fight early on huh

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 1:41 pm

How come no one commented on spencer’s updated personal page???

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 1:42 pm

MAN, Spence had a much better weekend than I did!

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 1:47 pm

I guess so, probably doesn’t compare to that kim chi you were with Friday night! LOL

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 1:50 pm

Is that spence in the background of the picture or is he wearing the low cut top? Or is it britney spears?

Michael, you must be playing your 360 like 20 hours a day for it to crap out on you like that. Are they going to fix it?

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 2:24 pm

Okay guys, listen up. I don’t believe in ghosts, but if I did, then I’d be really freaked out right now. Last night, coincidental to tuffy’s weekend headlining post, I slept on the couch last night (not because I was in trouble, but because water was spilt on my side of the bed and it soaked it). Anyway, Brooke has this enormous canvas painting on the wall above the couch. It is stapled to a wooden frame. So I’m sleepin away when I get thumped on the forehead really hard! I don’t have a clue as to what is going on since I was sleeping so soundly. So as I come around, it’s dark, my head hurts where it got pounded, and something is covering my face. As I remove it, I can’t figure out what is on me (since I’m still waking up). It is obviously that canvas but it feels weird as I keep folding it over until I finally get it off of me. I then wake up enough to think that Brooke is playing a joke on me (a cruel one), so I stare at her door to catch her peaking. She never comes, so I just lay back down. I am so confused. Then I begin to realize that it was the painting that fell on me and Brooke must still be asleep. So I decide that was a weird thing to happen, but oh well, back to sleep. Then, as I’m laying there, WHACK! I heard a HUGE whack on the curtain rods next to me! It startled me, but I thought it was another huge coincidence. Then again, WHACK!! Right there next to me on the curtain rod!! The second time was starting to freak me out. This is 4:30 AM. I end up closing my eyes again. A minute later I casually open them, and the window is bright orange through the curtains! It wigged me completely out for a second!! It was a car that had some strange lights on it that were bright orange (not parking lights) and it was just sitting there. Then then went off. No one ever got out of the car, folks!! I ended up going back to sleep. THEN, just a few minutes ago … I’m in the bedroom at the computer, when BANG, CRASH in the kitchen!!!!! My dog is right here next to me and Brooke is at work! I run in to see what the heck is going on and it was the trash all over the floor! We have it hanging on the wall (hey, you compromise when you have recycling and trash and a small apartment to worry about) and it had fallen off onto the floor spilling everywhere. Never has happened before.

So, any thought? This was my suggestion for your next reading.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 2:26 pm

I actually don’t play the 360 very much. I don’t like playing it by myself. On the other hand, Brooke uses it as a DVD player. Still, not that much. It was a premature crap-out.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 2:28 pm

it probably had something to do with the 360 falling out of the uhaul don’t you think? Also, nice ghost story! I bet huey was pulling your chains huh?

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 2:43 pm

Yeah I guess Microsoft never promised “Dell-Drop” durability.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 2:45 pm

Nope, but you still have a warranty, you need to get on that ASAP!

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 2:50 pm

Back to the original discussion, you guys should check out this new game just announced called End War, it looks pretty sweet! Sorta MMO and RTS combined

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 2:51 pm

Michael, i think god is trying to tell you something. I’m sure he’s wanted to smack you in the head a couple of times before.

I’m surprised you didn’t freak out and start yelling at the “lights”. Nothing scares me more than ghost stories. Anything supernatural freaks me out.

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 4:15 pm

What’s with spence giving us the snub? i want some dirt.

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 4:32 pm

it hasn’t shown my last three posts.

Comment by The Scam — May 29, 2007 @ 4:56 pm

So, Ghosts huh… I bet Jon drove down and was messing with you. Sounds like something he would do.

And, yes… we need details about Spence’s weekend. Let us live the wild life vicariously through you Spence!

And, waaaaay back to gear mattering in WoW. Yes it matters. But it doesn’t make up for skill. You guys still need to give it a whirl before you make up your minds.

Comment by Seth — May 29, 2007 @ 5:19 pm

i would give it a whirl if it didn’t take 10 hours just to get the snowy leopard boots i would so crave!

I think spence thinks he’s big time now and is avoiding us lowly folk, he’s using the michael excuse that he is “super busy” LOL

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 5:44 pm

Isn’t great that tuffy found a great way to lessen the ability of one to react to insults simply by adding “LOL”.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 5:52 pm

Hey Seth, you should get ol’ Ben hooked on wow. He’d be able to play at work everyday!

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 5:53 pm

the LOL always works! And i use it cause i really don’t intent to make an insult, just a comical jab.

Comment by jtuffy — May 29, 2007 @ 6:30 pm

Is a comical jab like popping a pimple? Oh wait, that’d be more like a “cosmetical” jab. Never mind.

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 7:47 pm

Oh I just realized, better yet it’s more of a “comedo-cal” jab!

Comment by Michael — May 29, 2007 @ 10:43 pm

So fellas… just saw a funny video, and I thought I’ld share.
